Roads are the life-line of nation providing transportation facility over the length and breadth of country. Systematic development of road is one of the important pre-requisites for development and acceleration of Socio-economic growth of the Country. Among the different modes of transportation systems, road transport carries more than 80 percent of the Goods and Passenger traffic.

Each District is having one Division headed district (R&B)Officer to look after the development of all the district road such as State Highways, Major district roads and Village roads connecting major towns, Mandals and villages. The total length of road look after by this district office is 381.48Kms out of which Black top road are having a length of 380.55Kms and CC roads for a length of 0.93Kms. Width wise the road lengths are as follows. Single lane roads 24.445Kms(Out of which 11.35Kms are being widened to double lane(a)Lalgadi Malakpet road 3.75Km and PWD road to Yadaram road 7.60Kms under CRF grant.) Intermediate land length for 1.00Kms,Double lane roads length for 319.925Kms and four lane road length for 35.181Kms.The important road passing through ths district are (1)NH44 (2)Rajiv Rahadari(Hyderabad-Karimnagar-Ramagundam road(3)Hyderabad-Medak-Bodhan road(4)NH65(5)Outer ring road.

ROBs and RUBs are being constructed for smooth flow of traffic at Ghatkesar(ROB) LC.No15,Cherlapally(ROB) L.C.No12,RUBs at Anandbagh BP11 and at Vajpayee Nagar LC.No8.
