The Government of Telangana have reorganized with new districts as per the G.O.Ms. No.509 Dept., dt. 11.10.2016, the Medchal Excise District has been restructured and reorganized and the District Proh. & Excise Officer, Medchal jurisdiction is formed with (3) stations i.e 1.Medchal, 2.Quthbullapur, and 3.Balanagar functioning from 11.10.2016.

Office of the District Prohibition & Excise Officer, Medchal, Medchal-Malkajgiri District is functioning at Plot No. 94, Sy No. 236, situated at Sai Krishna Nagar, Jeedimetla (V), Quthbullapur (M), Medchal-Malkajgiri District.

REVENUE ASPECTS:
The main source of revenue for Medchal Revenue district from Excise wing is through the sale of IML & Beer from A4 Shops and 2B Bars, Collection of Excise Tax, Providing event permits, and a little portion of Sale of Toddy from the Toddy shops. At present, there are (114) A4 shops, (101) 2B Bars (02) military canteens (CS-2 Licenses) functioning in Medchal. Besides, there are (51) T.C.S Shops and (53) Toddy licensees under T.F.Ts.

TSBCL units :
There are two IML Depot is functioning under Medchal Excise Unit i.e., IML Depot, Hyderabad-II at Deveryamjal and IML Depot Medchal-II at Bowrampet. All the A4/2B purchase the IML/Beer stocks through TSBCL unit only. IML depot is headed by Depot Manager concerned.
Progress of Scheme:
a) GEPRS : 32 members were sanctioned Under Gudumba Effected Persons Rehabilitation
scheme.
b) Haritha Haram : A total of (23,700) Excise seedlings have been planted during the year
2021.
CRIME ASPECTS :
We proudly announced the erstwhile district is I.D. free district on 20.12.2015. This was made after thorough verification by the Former Collector & District Magistrate namely Sri Raghunandan Rao Garu,. The District Collector organized a district level program and announced the district as 100% I.D. free District.
