District Rural Development Agency

The District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Medchal-Malkajgiri is implementing by monitoring and evaluation of the following Government sponsored schemes in rural areas to provide livelihood to the needy families who are covered under below poverty line, to overcome their poverty.

 

AASARA PENSIONS: Under this scheme the following 7 types of pensions have been distributing every month @ Rs.2,016/- per pensioner to OAP, Widow, Weavers, Toddy Tappers, Single Women, Beedi Workers and in case of disabled person @ Rs.3,016/- per pensioner to the eligible BPL families in the district. Total Pensioners in the district 104008 and every month Rs.23.62 Crores are distributing.

SADAREM:(Software for Assessment of Disability for Access Rehabilitation and Empowerment): In Medchal-Malkajgiri District the SADAREM camps will be conducting through Mee-Seva Slot booking system at District Hospital, Malkajgiri and after completion of the assessment the eligible person’s certificates will be issued within 3 to 4 working days.

Bank Linkage (BL): During the financial year 2021-22, out of 2621 SHG’s 1857 SHG’s have been availed loans under Bank Linkage with Financial Assistance of Rs.90.19 Crores as against the target of 106.21 Crores. So for the achievement percentage is 85%.

Streenidhi: During financial year 2021-22, loans to 3655 SHG members of Rs.23.43 Crores were disbursed under Streenidhi as against the target of 72.28 Crores with achievement percentage is 32.42% so far.

 

Institutional Building (IB): Under Institution Building component to Build the capacities of CBOs viz., various strategies have been adopted for strengthening of SHGs and conducted various level trainings to the SHG Members for savings and internal lending’s. In Medchal-Malkajgiri District 1 Zilla Mahila Samakhya, 5 Mandal Mahila Samkhyas and 118 Village Organizations, 3355 SHGs and 35,376 Members are existing. 

Human Development (HD): Human Developing unit initiated Health, Nutrition, Sanitation, Education and Gender interventions for the improvement of rural SHGs and also the Women. At present, considering the severe covid-19 pandemic conditions awareness is creating among the SHGs.

Neighbor Hood Centre( NHC): One Neighbor Hood Centre was established at Edulabad Village,Ghatkesar Mandal and total 74 members (OH- 14,HI-03,MR-57)  are utilizing this NHC. 6th of every month Manopragathi Meeting and   on 23rd of every month MR Parents meeting will be conducted at this centre.

  • Non-Farm: During the Fy 2020-21 for the awareness programmes under   Covid-19  activities an amount of Rs.10,00,000/- were sanctioned for 5 Mandal Samakhyas for the manufacturing of Masks by the SHG Women.     An Amount of Rs. 2,00,000/- were sanctioned for 5 Manadal Mahila Samakhyas  for the  manufacturing of Masks.
  • Food Processing :During The Financial year 2021-22 under PMFME, ( Food Processing) 198 Small scale Marketing activities  have been identified in the District. So far at Keesara Mandal – 64, at Medchal Mandal -31, at Ghakesar Mandal -45, at Shamirpet Mandal -39 and Muduchinthalapally  Mandal -19 Small Scale marketing units  were identified and still planning for identification of more units in the District.

 

Live Stock & Lively Hoods: So far 4 Live Stock Producing Groups (L.P.G) at Keesara Mandal and 2 live stock producing groups at Muduchintalpally Mandal were identified. An amount of Rs.25,000/- were sanctioned for Adraspally village L.P.G. 3 day Orientation & Training programme was conducted at National Research Centre on Meat ( NRCM),Chengicherla, Hyderabad for the staff of Aushapur,Foods.

MGNREGS: The MGNREGS Scheme being implementing in 5 Rural Mandals consisting with newly formed 61 GPs to improve the livelihood of rural poor through providing 100 days work. As per the new Panchayat Raj Act, to establish one Nursery at each Gram Panchayat and the responsibility of establishment of Nursery lies with Gram Panchayats. Under TKHH 2021-22, the target assigned for raising Nurseries are 29.00 lakhs seedling’s against 20.68 lakh bag filling & 6.93 seed dibbling / Transplanting has been done so far.

Swachh Bharath Mission (Gramin): Through Swachh Bharat Mission, for construction of IHHLs (individual household latrines) with cost of Rs. 12,000/- have been sanctioned. In 61 GPs 4046 IHHLs have been sanctioned and 4046 IHHLs have been completed. Under LOB/NOLB total127 New IHHLs are sanctioned in the district.

DDU-GKY: Under this scheme providing employment to the unemployed rural youth, trainings will be imparted under various courses for providing Employment Opportunities in various Private Organizations. Children of the SHG families will be prioritized for the trainings within the age group of 18-35 years. During the FY 2021-22 Mandal level youth mobilization and screening camps were conducted in all 5 rural Mandals and 306 candidates were participated and provided counselling for various DDU-GKY Training courses.
