Medchal – Malkajigiri District Election Officer, Collector Shri.Gautham Potru IAS., said that the process of withdrawal of nominations in Medchal – Malkajigiri district as part of the state assembly elections was completed peacefully.Wednesday is the final deadline for withdrawal of nominations and in respect of the five legislative constituencies of the district, 64 candidates have withdrawn their nominations in the respective constituencies… 126 candidates are said to be in the election ring. + A total of 105 nominations were received for Medchal (43) Constituency… 38 nominations were rejected in the scrutiny and 67 were left… Later, 45 of the 67 candidates withdrew their nominations and 22 candidates are in the election ring.
+ A total of 49 nominations were received for Malkajigiri (44) Assembly Constituency… 8 nominations were rejected during scrutiny leaving 41 remaining… Later 8 of the 41 candidates withdrew their nominations and 33 candidates are in the fray.
+ 32 nominations were received for Kutbhullapur (45) Assembly Constituency… 10 nominations were rejected in scrutiny leaving 22 candidates left… Later 7 out of 22 candidates withdrew their nominations and 15 candidates are in the fray.
+ 38 nominations were received for Kukatpally (46) Assembly Constituency… 12 nominations were rejected in scrutiny… 26 candidates remained.. . Later, two of the 26 candidates withdrew their nominations… 24 candidates are in the fray.
+ Regarding Uppal (47) Assembly Constituency, 37 nominations were received… three candidates’ nominations were rejected in scrutiny… 34 candidates remained… later two candidates withdrew their nominations out of 34 candidates… 32 candidates stood in the election ring.
