General Elections 2023, District Election Officer and Collector Gautham said that the nodal officers of all departments in Medchal-Malkajigiri district should coordinate and perform their assigned duties responsibly in accordance with the rules of elections.

A coordination meeting was held with the Election Expenditure, Excise, GST, MCC and Nodal Officers along with Additional District Collector Vijayender Reddy in the conference hall of the District Collectorate on Wednesday. On this occasion, District Election Officer, Collector Gautham said that the respective nodal officers should have full understanding of the matters related to the general election arrangements of the Legislative Assembly. He said that election duties are very important and should be performed efficiently with all precautions so that no small mistake is made anywhere. He warned that if they are negligent towards election duties, they will face strict action. He suggested that all the teams should coordinate in cases of seizure of other items to focus special attention on cash, liquor and distribution so as to tempt the voters. , to see that checking of vehicles are carried out impartially and strictly at the check posts established in the district, those caught should be seized as per the election rules, and teams should be present and take quick action on those caught during the election without causing any trouble to the common people. Especially during inspections, the general public should exercise restraint so as not to cause unnecessary trouble, and in cases of confiscation of cash, proper investigation should be conducted and receipts must be provided. Moreover, it is suggested to explain that there is a facility to release the cash by showing sufficient evidence and to inform about the Grievance Committee set up at the district level. He said that the nodal officers should give complete details of how many cases they are booking every day and the nodal officers should submit their reports in a specific format every day. In the matter of cash, gold, middle and other precious jewels seized during the elections, all the nodal officers should move forward with more coordination. He wished everyone to perform their duties responsibly and ensure that the elections are held in a peaceful atmosphere. District Election Officer and Collector Gautham said that if there are any problems related to the election, they should be brought to his attention immediately and necessary steps will be taken to solve them.
