More than Rs.40 Crore cash refund by District Grievance Committee

In the wake of the state assembly elections, special surveillance will be organized in many places across the district and extensive inspections will be conducted. 50, 96, 86, 905 (Fifty Crore Ninety Six Lakhs,Eighty six thousand nine hundred five rupees) cash was seized and also one lakh ninety seven (1,90,407) liters of liquor was seized and 979 cases were registered and 426 people were arrested… Officer, Collector Shri.Gautham Potru IAS., said.

To this extent, the officials of the District Grievance Committee have examined all types of certificates and in respect of 347 cases in which all types of evidence are correct, Rs. 40, 14, 75, 823 (Forty Crore Fourteen Lakh Seventy Five Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Three Rupees) has been returned, District Election Officer, Collector Gautam said.He said that since the election code came into force in the district, officials and police have been conducting inspections of vehicles, etc., and specially set up surveillance. He said that according to the code of conduct of the district-wide elections, no more than Rs. 50 thousand cash should be carried… If it is carried, it should have proper certificates, if not, the cash will be seized.In the background of the state assembly elections, the police and the election officials will continue to keep vigil on the movement of cash and liquor without any permits against the election rules.District Election Officer and Collector Gautham said that the seized cash should be contacted in the District Grievance Committee at F-12 in the District Collector’s office complex to recover the seized cash with all kinds of receipts and sufficient evidence.
