Steps should be taken to register hundred percent polling across the district.
An identity card is a must for voting, Medchal -Malkajigiri District Election Officer, Collector Gautham.
District Election Officer, Collector Gautham appealed to the people to take advantage of the right to vote given to us by the Constitution and ensure that 100 percent voting takes place. He said that all the arrangements have been completed for free and fearless voting and requested all the voters to exercise their right to vote impartially and voluntarily without succumbing to any temptations. Voting is the most important thing in democracy and all voters who have attained the age of 18 are responsible not to go anywhere on polling day.
They want to use their right to vote and show their power. He said that new young voters are the foundation of democracy and they should participate in the polling on 30th of this month and feel the first vote. He said that in democratic India, there are more youth than any other country, the power of political decision-making belongs to the youth, they should be active and make sure that 100 percent polling is registered. If money, liquor or any other goods are distributed to deceive the voters, they should file a complaint through the C-Whistle app and the details will be kept confidential. Voter slips will be sent to all the voters in the voter list and they are asked to take the slogan ‘I will definitely vote’ to the people. To exercise the right to vote, the voter card with photo or any of the identity cards prescribed by the Election Commission should be taken to the polling station. Votter Epic Card, Aadhaar Card, Mahatma Gandhi Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme Card, Bank/Post Office (with photo) pass books, Health Insurance Smart Card issued by Ministry of Labour, Driving License, PAN Card, Smart Card issued by National Population Register, Indian Passport , pension document with photo, photo identity card issued to employees by central/state government/public limited companies, identity card for disabled persons, official identity card showing membership in legislative assemblies and come to the polling station to vote.
