District Election Officer and Collector  Shri.Gautham Potru IAS., said that in the context of the Legislative Assembly elections, the officials of all the departments should coordinate and perform their assigned duties responsibly from time to time.District Additional Collector Vijayendar Reddy, District Revenue Officer Haripriya and Nodal Officers held a meeting at the Collectorate building conference hall on Tuesday.
On this occasion, District Election Officer, Collector Gautham said that from 28-11-2023 at 5 pm till the completion of polling on 30-11-2023, section 144 will be in force in the district for 48 hours and asked the people of the district to cooperate.He said that in implementation of Section 144, no gatherings or meetings should be held, people should not be in groups, no more than 5 people, and door to door publicity should not be done. He said that on the day of polling, the polling staff should reach the polling centers on time, the mock poll should be conducted at 5.30 in the morning, the duties should be performed in such a way that the polling is conducted smoothly, and special attention should be paid to the vulnerable polling centers.He said that webcasting should be organized in the polling centers and a control room should be set up in the district to continuously monitor the polling process. After the polling, the EVMs were sent from the polling centers to the counting center’s strong room. He said that necessary vehicles should be prepared for the movement of machinery.It should be coordinated with the sector officer under the polling center. On the day of polling, information should be given to the election officials about the polling percentage every 2 hours, and information about the polling process should be given to the election officials from time to time.He said that complete facilities have been arranged so that the voters do not face any difficulties. He said that arrangements should be made to ensure that elections are held in a peaceful environment without any mistakes.
