This Office (O/o The Assistant Director, Drugs Control Administration, Medchal – Malkajgiri District)

This Office is headed by Assistant Director, now K. Anil Kumar, Cell No.9618657561

This department main objective is enforcement of the following Acts:

• Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and Rules, 1945
• Drugs Price Control Order, 2013
• Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisement) Act, 1954 and Rules 1955

and to ensure safety, efficiently, purity and quality of drugs and to make the availability of drugs at authorized prices to public by carrying out inspections and picking samples for analysis from different cross – section to trade. Implementation of Departmental and Legal actions against the violations. To check the availability of Quality Blood through Licensed Blood – Banks.

At present 43 Pending Trail Cases in and 45 under investigation cases in various courts.
